2009 Machine Quilters Showcase 4th Annual Fabric
Challenge, sponsored by
Contest Rules:
1. All quilting must be executed on a
longarm or shortarm quilting machine which utilizes a track system.
2. The quilt should measure 30” wide by 30” long or smaller.
3. A recognizable amount of the challenge fabric by SewBatik® must be used as an
integral part of the entry, and must appear on the front of the quilt.
4. Embellishments will be accepted.
5. Follow the instructions and complete an entry form using the regular quilt
entry form available in the MQS® 2009 Class and Events Catalogue and on the IMQA
website, www.imqa.org in December 2008. There is no entry fee for the fabric
challenge. Your entry must be received by Bonnie Bosma, MQS Quilt Entry, 40661
563rd Street, Zumbro Falls, MN 55991 no later than March 27, 2009.
6. Judging emphasizes originality and creative use of the challenge fabric as it
relates to other fabrics, visual impact, and workmanship.
7. Prizes will be awarded at the MQS® 2009 Awards Celebration. Entries will be
included in a special exhibit at the 13th Annual MQS®, May 13-16, 2009.
To receive challenge fabric, send your request to: IMQA, P.O. Box
419, Higginsville, MO 64037 with a check for $5, plus $1.50 for shipping and
handling. You will receive a 1/8 yard cut of the challenge fabric. Questions?
